Residential Polished Concrete in Vancouver

Miyagi Construction helps homeowners create polished concrete interiors across Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Whether you are renovating a basement, updating a living space or planning a new slab, the starting concrete determines much of the finished appearance.

Choose the Look of Your Floor

Discuss cream, salt-and-pepper or larger aggregate exposure, along with matte, satin or higher-gloss sheen. Existing slabs do not always allow every finish. A sample can help you understand the colour, exposure and visible repairs before committing to the full area.

Can Your Existing Slab Be Polished?

We assess old floor coverings, adhesives, cracks, patches and stains. Preparation may include coating removal and concrete repairs. Polishing does not guarantee removal of every stain or flooring outline, and patches may differ in colour from the surrounding concrete.

Planning Work in an Occupied Home

Room layout, furniture removal, access, edge detail and power availability affect the work. Tell us about occupied areas and other trades so we can discuss preparation and scheduling. The quotation should define what must be cleared and which tasks are included.

Where a Different Finish May Be Needed

Patios, driveways, wet rooms and other exposed areas need a separate suitability assessment. A glossy appearance does not establish slip resistance, and polished concrete should not be treated as waterproof or stain-proof.

Caring for Your Floor

Remove grit regularly, clean spills promptly and follow the cleaning instructions for the installed protective treatment. Avoid incompatible acidic or harsh cleaners. Ask about maintenance needs when selecting the finish.
